Conference and Awards Banquet
All Executive Directors, Site Managers, and Counselors are invited to join us for the annual Real Alternatives Counselor Training Conference and Awards Banquet on Tuesday, June 7 and Wednesday, June 8, 2022! Attendees will learn from engaging speakers, and will enjoy a delicious banquet and fellowship with other counselors.
On June 7th, our day will start at NOON with Registration followed by two informative presentations by Dr. Brad Imler, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. His sessions entitled “How to Reach the Abortion-Minded Caller” address how counselors can effectively communicate with clients on the phone and help educate, support, and equip clients to choose life.
The last afternoon session, “Microchimerisms: A Cellular Connection Between Mother and Child” will be presented by Dr. Ann Marie Manning, an obstetrician-gynecologist who has practiced locally for 33 years. Dr. Manning will describe the bi-directional transfer of living cells between maternal and fetal circulations, and the potential consequences of such transfers.
Then we will take an hour-long break for you to relax, swim in their indoor or outdoor pool, or take a dip in the hot tub! An outdoor playground is also on-site for children.
At the 6:00 pm Awards Banquet, you will enjoy a delicious banquet dinner buffet that consists of tossed salad, fresh fruit salad, teriyaki beef tips, Italian herbed chicken, broiled old bay haddock, oven roasted red potatoes, honey glazed carrots, fresh rolls and butter, carrot cake, chocolate peanut butter pie, Dutch apple crumb pie, coffee, tea, decaf and iced tea!
Following an inspirational Keynote Address by Rachel Campos-Duffy of FOX and Friends, we will recognize award-winning individuals, Sites, and Providers at our annual Awards Ceremony.
At 8:00 am on Wednesday morning, you will enjoy a continental breakfast of assorted breakfast sandwiches, hash browns, whole fruit, yogurts and granola, coffee, decaf, tea, and apple juice. Breakfast will be available FREE of charge, however you must indicate you plan to eat breakfast when you register!
After breakfast on Wednesday morning, Dr. George Delgado, the President of Steno Institute, will discuss “Types of Abortions and Their Risks” as well as the concerning significant increase in chemical abortions in his second session, “Mail Order Abortions.”
Lastly, you will be treated to a very brief teaser presentation on the new Rapid system that is scheduled to be rolled out July 1, 2022. Our training conference ends on Wednesday at approx. 11:45 am after we distribute our fun door prizes! You must be present to win!
