Accountant (Part-Time)

We administer programs to assist pregnant women who are experiencing unexpected pregnancies.  We are seeking a pro-life individual with accounting education and experience.

Responsibilities include all accounting operations.  Must be willing to handle a variety of other services support, projects, and program tasks that are not directly related to the primary position.

The position first requires dedication and full support of our pro-life mission.  A bachelor’s degree, and solid experience using accounting software are also required.  Experience developing and utilizing spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel is essential.  The successful candidate will possess knowledge of and experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).  Attention to detail is absolutely critical.  Experience with the full range of small business accounting, including payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger entries, forecasting, database maintenance, and reporting. Knowledge of MIP accounting software would be a big plus.  Additionally, audit preparation and support, general ledger account analysis, preparing journal entries, budget preparation and monitoring, and bank reconciliations will also be necessary.
